Flash not working

Post by xebuzer0 »

Hi people! :D

I have a little problem, I've been using SRWare Iron since ever, but now I got this problem: I have Iron 34 on a PC with ubuntu 13.10 and runs well any content with flash player, but in another one with ubuntu 14 .04 I had Iron 35 but it just didn't run flash player in any way, then it was released Iron 37 and I decided to update to see if I get the problem fixed but the problem is still there, can you help me to fix it?

Greetings and thanks in advance ;)

PD: I know that the problem is SRWare Iron because I've installed IceWeasel and Midori as other web browsers to test them and both work well with flash player, Iron is the only one that doesn't work with it :|

To be clear, Flash Player will not play but HTML5 Player will? If that is the case type about:plugins in the address bar > Enter. Check the Flash entry and make sure it is enabled in Iron. Assuming it is, go to the Chrome Web Store, find the extension "Disable Youtube™ HTML5 Player 1.1" and install it. As long as the Flash plugin is installed and enabled in Iron, it will now be forced to play.

1. download flash setup file from alternate site
2. install flash on your computer
3. restart computer

Adobe site is working not correct with Iron.

The problem is with the Chromium base itself, which removed NPAPI support on Linux starting with version 35: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2225277

Unfortunately, unlike on Windows, Adobe has not yet released an installer for the PPAPI version of Flash that it still maintains for Chrome on Linux.

I certainly hope that Adobe releases PPAPI Flash for Chromium derivatives other than Chrome.

I am unable to get Adobe Flash Player to work on SRWare Browser (works on other browsers). I have uninstalled re-installed flash...I have downloaded the appropriate file for from Adobe "other versions". I've checked plugins & it's not there. When I check if it's installed it says yes but disabled. It is not on the plugin list! Just continue to go around and around in circles trying and getting totally frustrated. :?

If you have the HTTPS Everywhere extension installed, remove it and see if that corrects the problem.
