Proxy settings in Cinnamon

Post by Siskiyous »

I recently upgraded to Linux Mint 17 with the Cinnamon Desktop, when running Iron
I get a slowing down of my browser over time,
it is dependent on my use of certain sites.

In trying to find a solution for that I looked at
my proxy settings using the Iron browser's Settings page; I
found the following message: "When running Google Chrome under a
supported desktop environment, the system proxy settings will be used.
However, either your system is not supported or there was a problem
launching your system configuration.

But you can still configure via the command line.
Please see man google-chrome-stable for more information on flags
and environment variables."

I am unable to find "man google-chrome-stable" for that information.

Is anyone else finding this? Is it related to my browser slow down issue?

Thank you for helping.
