UBUNTU

As with previous Iron versions, I have had to copy-pasta the following in Terminal to trick Iron into running.
Code: Select all
sudo ln -s /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0.13.0 /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1

Hope this helps other Ubunters out there.

Iron-Version: 34.0.1850.0 Stable for Linux (32-Bit)
You Tube crashes.
Flash and Pepper works.

I tested "chromium Version 34.0.1847.116". html5 works
The Iron Version 34.0.1850.0 (260972) (from *deb and *tar.gz) crashes youtube html5 crashes.

I thought about to compile it on my system, but can't find the sources.

Hi
Thanks from this update;
however, it can't be installed on Mageia, as it comes out with an error :
failed to install file. a problem that we were not expecting has occurred

Like its older versions, seems to be no way but to extract and then run it in konsol with ./iron command.

Anyone with a better story?

Even if I start Iron with --disk-cache-dir=${XDG_CACHE_HOME}/iron --user-data-dir=${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/iron, it will still create a ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/chromium directory, with an empty "Crash Reports" subdirectory. Could I do something about that? Or, even better, could you guys rename cache and config directories to "iron" by default?

How can I ensure that the pdf files open in the new tab rather than downloading to the machine every time?

Hello,

When I want to install this on my Fedora XXX installation, I get the following error:
Code: Select all
Transaction check error:
file / from install of iron64-34.0.1850-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.2-19.fc20.x86_64
file /usr from install of iron64-34.0.1850-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.2-19.fc20.x86_64
file /usr/share from install of iron64-34.0.1850-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.2-19.fc20.x86_64
file /usr/share/applications from install of iron64-34.0.1850-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.2-19.fc20.x86_64
file /usr/share/pixmaps from install of iron64-34.0.1850-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.2-19.fc20.x86_64

Any thoughts on thow I can still install this?

Thanks

Awesome. Thanks developers.

No ArchLinux build though (.aur)? There are RedHat and Debian packages, but no love for ArchLinux :-(

I'm open to help build a package. I did some reading and found we have to define a PKGBUILD file. If I can receive help from fellow users, I can work on this.
