Unfortunately Debian Wheezy (which is current stable) ships with glibc 2.13.. I guess is this iron thing, since chormium 28 is running happily. And pls dont say "upgrade that glibc".. Upgrading glibc is like deliberately pissing off drunken Mike Tyson: i'll quarantee that result is dozen punches to your face, then your will lose an ear, nose or/and some other bits in the proccess!

my humble request is iron is changed so that it does not require glibc 2.14 or 2.15.. at least not until Debian Sid reaches "stable" status :-)

Hi there,

Thanks for Iron.

I would like to ask about the possibility to include support for adobe pepper flash plugin, is it possible to use just a chrome flash?

Once again great job. I'm happy when people support a decent operating system even if it isn't mainstream.

I actually installed iron v28 on my prior computer running Linux Mate 13 (64-bit) without any problems. Unfortunately due to a hardware error, I was forced to get a new laptop with Linux Mate 15 (also 64-bit) and after a fresh install of Mint (to remove the windows 8 nightmare) I was hit with the libudev error described above when launching iron for the first time. However, the above solution using a link worked and I have not had any other problems.

In addition to my praise, I would like to point out one other minor thing related to your website. Right now, the download link for linux actually points to the thread for v27, not v28. (at least it does on the english pages...) On a similar point, i do have one feature request and I hope this is the appropriate place... Any chance for an integrated "check for updates" function? Either manual or automated would be great.

Thank you,
Frank

Downloads for Debian-based distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint etc.):
http://www.srware.net/downloads/iron.deb (32-Bit)
Deb package has version 27.0.1500-0
And I have a problem when trying to start tweetdeck extension or web gmail: Iron Crush
I use GNU / Linux Debian Squeeze 6.0.7
