valid DNS server

How can I get a valid DNS server so I can connect to XBox Live? Ok, I have a Windows Vista and Insight Broadband. I open up the Command Prompt and do the "ipconfig /all" command and find my DNS Server no problem. But it doesn't work in an XBox Live test connection (auto doesn't work either) and I'm up a creak without a paddle here.

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
