no flash

been using iron for a couple of years now, but latley i just cannot get flash to work.
window 7 64 bit. latest version of iron and flash.
flash is installed, and enabled in pluggins. flash works on google chrome, ff and ie, but not in iron.
ive tried reinstalling, clearing cache and a host of other tomfoolery, but still no flash in iron.
ive swithced back to another browser, but would really prefer to use iron...
why is this so hard to get a working flash pluggin in iron?
