Iron Portable interferes with Laptop going into standby mode

Tested and found out that it is iron portable that is interefering with my laptop going into standby.
Iron does not have to be running to interfere with standby issues. All I have to do is load and use Iron once, close it, and now my laptop will refuse to go into standby unless I restart the computer and not use iron at all.
