Re: New Iron-Version: 25.0.1400.0 Stable for Linux
Hello,
Thanks for this new version but I have thoes errors by launching it:
[28004
0321/091121:ERROR:zygote_host_impl_linux.cc(146)] Running without the SUID sandbox! See https://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki ... evelopment for more information on developing with the sandbox on.
I went on the proposed page and tried: build/update-linux-sandbox.sh but no /usr/local/sbin/chrome-devel-sandbox has been genereted. Do I miss something?
Then this (spam a lot):
[28004
0321/091121:ERROR:omnibox_view_gtk.cc(431)] Not implemented reached in virtual void OmniboxViewGtk::ApplyCaretVisibility()
Which as been resolved here (please fix it):
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issu ... ?id=172302
Thoes too about Mtpd:
[28004
0321/091121:ERROR:object_proxy.cc(624)] Failed to get name owner. Got org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NameHasNoOwner: Could not get owner of name 'org.chromium.Mtpd': no such name
[28004
0321/091121:ERROR:object_proxy.cc(529)] Failed to call method: org.chromium.Mtpd.EnumerateStorages: object_path= /org/chromium/Mtpd: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.chromium.Mtpd was not provided by any .service files
It would be nice if someone could solve thoes things. Thank you.

Re: New Iron-Version: 25.0.1400.0 Stable for Linux
Hello,
I noticed in the 32-bits archive that there is a file named ".goutputstream-JEYXTW" that, according to the "file" command
is an "ELF 64-bit LSB shared object". I guess this could be a temporary file created during the compilation that should
not have been included in the final release.
On an other subject (maybe a little of topic here), I also noticed that the links to the source code presented on
the page http://www.srware.net/en/software_srwar ... wnload.php are not available any more. I think
it could be interesting if you could make them available again
Thanks anyway for your work and for this release !

Re: New Iron-Version: 25.0.1400.0 Stable for Linux
Hello, help me plz.
I had Mageia 3 on my laptop. Deb-package didn't install. How to install Iron using tar-ball? I tried ./configure and make and checkinstall and autoconf but no result.

Re: New Iron-Version: 25.0.1400.0 Stable for Linux
I did not have any problems with upgrade to the newest package. (installed using 64bit .deb file on Linux Mint 13)
The program loads properly, but when I right click on a page and "Inspect Element" the developer tools fail to load. (screenshot attached)
The developer tools window opens but there is no content except for a black "fast forward" and and white "play" buttons on the upper right.
I have not tested this yet on a different machine. The dev tools were working yesterday on the same computer/same setup. And they are still working in regular chrome -ver26.0.1410.43. (Of course, I prefer Iron to chrome and would rather use it.)

Re: New Iron-Version: 25.0.1400.0 Stable for Linux
The tar.gz is running fine here on a Toshiba NB255 netbook with 1GB RAM on Mageia 2. I'm not getting the error I was getting on the last three versions, but then I may have installed something since that gave it the file it needed; I've been on Mageia for a while now.
Thought I'd give the tar.gz a whirl before I installed with the .rpm. I'm going to give it more of a try before I install it just to be sure, but I do have it downloaded to install. I think this will be a keeper. Thank you!

But then, I don't use sandbox or mtpd... I see no reason to on a Linux browser...
