So, how do I get my 'profiles' back without the message that they can't be opened properly? I'm sure this is caused by the implementation of the new profile manager that I got when I put the Iron 26 version on last night.
Not only did it screw up my profile loading when I went back to the Iron 25 version, it deleted all of my search engines and left me with Google!
Also, I have to manually enter UID's and sometimes passwords for most sites that require them.

Before I loaded in Iron 26, things were working well.
NOW it looks as if I am going to have to redo my profiles AGAIN! That means copy and paste from old to new until something screws up, then back it out!
This is getting to be a problem with Iron! I HATE redoing my profiles because of something like a new update that simply didn't work well!
Yes, but can you gripe in German?

FYI:

step 1, use portable version
step 2, export bookmarks to html file
step 3, download new version
step 4, extract zip
step 5, delete old version folder
step 6, place new version folder
step 7, import bookmarks
step 8, fix download folder > ua settings> plugin settings> adblock settings (if that's your thing).
step 9, go watch the trailer for Neil Blokamps' Elysium. It's awesome

Can you PLEASE fix IronPortable.exe correctly passing argument URLs with spaces in them to Iron.exe with "quotes" so that .URL file paths with spaces in them can be opened?
http://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6468 - IronPortable.exe not parsing spaces in URL arguments

It is a very easy fix. Just please instead of %1 please use "%1". or Arg(0) change to "Arg(0)" - whatever your code for IronPortable.exe looks like.

@robertcollier4, while you're right and it must be fixed, I'd suggest an another approach to run Iron in portable mode. And it's actually pretty simple. Assuming you have your profile in a folder, let say:
C:\Iron\p

Then create a shortcut to launch Iron in portable mode directly using this target:
"C:\Program Files\IronPortable\Iron\iron.exe" -user-data-dir="C:\Iron\p"

As you see, you don't have to launch "IronPortable.exe" at all and, therefore, there is no problem with correctly passing arguments to it too...

I use this way for ages :) (if I may say so about running Iron since its v5, which actually was released quite recently, in the middle of 2010)...
