24.0.1350.0 with Auto-Reload extension

I'm experiencing an issue with the last version (v24.0.1350.0), which I didn't with v23.
I'm usually running about 5 fixed tabs. With one of them I'm using Auto-Reload to reload the page every 120 seconds.
It seems that with this version, whenever the tab is being refreshed, while I'm on another tab, I can't access it anymore. I mean, I can click the tab and the focus indeed changes to it, and I can even see that the page is being refreshed every 120sec, but there's nothing loaded as content and Iron still shows the previous tab (although not responsive).
This is becoming VERY annoying, and I was thinking of downgrading back to v23, but couldn't find this version anywhere.
Is anyone aware of that? Is anyone having the same issue? Can this please be fixed?
