Hello.

I noticed that after clicking on the "Folder:" drop-down menu (which, yes, it doesn't drop down), one can use the Down Arrow key to "scroll" through the list of last used folders, and when you reach the last item, "Choose another folder...", it simply opens the window so you can choose the folder. If what you want is to choose the folder, simply click on the folder field and press the End key. Hope this helps.

I haven't tried clean installing (uninstalling and re-installing), but at least there is a work-around; considering that I only add a bookmark here and there, I can live with this.

Cheers.

this version has a particular bug

There is BROKEN CRACKLING SOUND in HTML 5 videos on youtube.

i have triple checked this bug......... by even using a fresh OS and exhaustively testing it.

it's a bug...!

The bug is NOT present in version 23.0.1300.0 (170000) but appears in version 24.0.1350.0

I AM NOT SURE HOW MANY VERSIONS INBETWEEN MAY ALSO HAVE THIS BUG.

thanks

Vince.

no problems here with the sound (with or without html5 activated)

are you using some extension ? try disable all of them
your sound device's drivers are updated ?
using other browser do you have the same issue ?

Well i can confirm it's certainly a bug.

I exhaustively tested here on the same latop..

0) formatting the laptop and re installing a fresh OS with correct sound drivers and video drivers
than installing chrome 24 ----------- (latest flash also installed and correct)
1) Sound crackles in HTML 5 videos on youtube. (Not with flash videos)

2) Formatted the laptop. Re-installed a fresh OS with correct sound drivers and video drivers
installed the earlier 23 Iron version (as mentioned in my other post). NO PROBLEMS with HTML 5
sound on youtube videos.

what conclusion can one draw?.....the OS used was the same in each case (all software and hardware
was identical except for the version of IRON that was used.

clearly therefor there must be a bug in iron with regard to this hardware here. Compaq laptop and
although it's 12 years old there are NO PROBLEMS in any other browsers with HTML5 video
or indeed any problems with any software at all.

Vince.

no, like i say, i exhaustively tested it and it's a bug in iron.

1) Took the laptop, formatted it. Installed the OS fresh, installed correct sound and video drivers
and the latest flash. Installed Iron 24....etc.....(broken sound with HTML 5 vidoes but flash videos play fine

2) flattened the laptop, pit the same fresh OS on again, installed correct sound and video drivers
and the latest flash. Installed Iron 23.....no problems with HTM 5 youtube sound or flash video sound.

what conclusion can one draw?

the only thing that changed was the version of iron.

Unable to tile Iron windows on windows xp! When i have multiple windows of iron open on windows xp sp3 then if i right click the windows xp taskbar context menu appears and when i click on "tile windows vertically" or "tile windows horizontally" in the context menu nothing happens with Iron windows. Can this issue be somehow fixed?
