Title tag for tooltip doesn't work in Iron 13 (e.g., Wikipedia)

Yes, I have the same problem. It's very uncomfortably. Iron version is 23.0.1300.0 (170000).

I tried three Wikipedia pages, and holding the cursor on some test that is blue(in my case) got me a 'tooltip', as will hovering over any non current tab.
I am using the latest version of Iron (Version 23.0.1300.0 (170000)).

WITH Iron NOT running:
Find your Iron profile, make a copy of it and store it in a safe place.
Now rename the current profile.
Start Iron, it will generate a new profile.

Does the problem still exist? IF not, then you need to find what in the profile is causing the problem( I suspect and extension).

@ironmarty; a downgrade will not solve the problem IF it is profile related, which I suspect it is.

You can also disable ALL of your installed extensions(NOT PLUGINS) and check if that solves the problem. If it does, you have a conflict with one or more of your extensions.

Yes. New profile doesn't help. Full reinstall also.
In old version 22.0.1250.0 tooltips work fine.

If you have Iron installed on a PC you do have a profile. I have WinXP and my profile(s) are in:
C:\Documents and Settings\SomeName\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium\User Data
If you have not created one, it is named 'Default'.
I am sorry, I do not know where to find it on Vista/Win7/Win8 machines.

Since I don't use portable, I can't speak to it working and the installed version not. I still think it is something in your profile.

Win Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I've tried this version 23 at least 4 times, but have had to revert to 22 because the tooltips - display of alt text does not work. As I build and maintain websites that's pretty important.

I sync my settings, themes etc through Google (but use LastPass for passwords and Xmarks for bookmarks) and haven't seen other issues that folk describe with bookmarks. I think I did lose bookmark favicons once but sorted that.

In Vista I think settings are found:

C:\User > AppData > Local > Chromium

I've tried different options, renaming and deleting but had no joy. I've disabled extensions and again - no joy.

Previous upgrades were simple one could just install over the current one, but on this last occasion I had to shut it down and remove it first manually. So for me, I am not convinced it's user profile related. I also found that removing the latest version and re-installing the previous worked absolutely fine, and I got my tooltips back. With syncing via Google, LastPass and Xmarks all up and running in no time. Just rather tedious. I'd like to use the latest version, because on the whole SRWare Iron is great.

Looks like I'll have to revert back to 22 or see if I can run both versions, as I need those tooltips.
