There is a cleaner software that seems to be more thorough than some of the Application cleaners available.
The name of the software is "IronCleaner" and it can be downloaded from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ironcleaner/
I have tested it and it works fine. It even deletes the folders of stored files, though Iron emediately restores them on browser re-start. You have to choose your clening options before you can find and select the Iron "Profile" folder on your hard drive. I have chosen to have Iron store files like PDF and Windows Media Player files in the Cache folder, then they are deleted when IronCleaner is run.
Downsides: There is no option to save certain cookies or certain temporary internet files (i.e. youtube, to get rid of the annoying language selection). Also, there is no choice for automated cleaning, it has to be done manually. Maybe there will be an update for this eventually!
