Adobe Acrobat + Chrome Problems

Post by StatenJM »

Though I can open some PDF files, most of them come up with an error saying "Could not load Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plugin, Version 10.1.14". Yet when I switch over to Safari I can get it to load no problem (same version of Adobe if I'm not mistaken) so I believe this is a Chrome problem. Thoughts, Comments, Fixes?

No one else experiencing same problem? Or is this issue already addressed somewhere?

In case of others experiencing this problem the only work-around I have found is downloading and installing google docs and save PDFs there then download them from your Google Doc List.

I have the same problem. I'm using Iron 22 for Mac (Mountain Lion).

In Adobe Reader (for Mac) > Preferences > Internet reads

Code: Select all

[x] Display PDF in browser using:
     /Applications/Adobe Reader.app
     [x] Display in Read Mode by default
I don't believe the DLL would help, so I didn't (look for it and) copy the file to any folder in my Mac...

plugin

Code: Select all

$ pwd
/Applications/Chromium.app/Contents/Versions/22.0.1250.0/Chromium Framework.framework/Internet Plug-Ins
$ ll

I don't see an Adobe or PDF related file...
