I'm having problems getting it installed( actually re-installed). I was informed there was an update to it, and when I told it to update, it deleted the current version, and won't install the new(est) version. I get WinXP error 0xa0430722, and 0x80004005 if I try to install the full Google Earth app.
Any ideas as to how or what to look at to get this thing installed again?
Aw hell! I took out Chrome, and now it won't install either! that one is the 0x80004005, and once 0x80040714
Google Earth Plugin
Re: Google Earth Plugin
OK, I managed to get it back, but I'm not real happy about the way I had to do it. I found a 'bundle' that includes the 'free' version and the plugin. It installed quickly, I think due to it not being one of those damned 700mb things that retrieves a larger D/L and installs it.
I'm reasonably positive it had something to do with the windows installer routine, and I wasn't comfortable with using the Windows Cleanup Utility(MS took it off their site) because I've heard of it causing problems with other installed programs.
