I found SRWare Iron while looking for a more ambitious project.
I'd really like a browser that would password protect browsing sessions, and require an additional password entry after timeout/compouter-sleep/minimization before allowing access to those sessions. It should also encrypt all cache/cookies/history/etc so it can't be read without unlocking with the master password.
Iron-Browser as a Chrome-minus-google-features seems like very niche product. However, adding even more aggressive security, encryption, and protection features could be much wider appeal. Incognito mode tries to meet this need, but does so badly and without any of the conveniences of cookies, bookmarks, etc.
just an idea for you to consider.. thanks for making Iron.
consider going further - secured private browsing
Re: consider going further - secured private browsing
This doesn't make any sense to put in a browser.I'd really like a browser that would password protect browsing sessions, and require an additional password entry after timeout/compouter-sleep/minimization before allowing access to those sessions.
Go to your screensaver options in windows, set it to 10 minutes, and check the box to require password when coming out of it.
