Back to version 18.0.1050.1 -- Passwords broke

So, I'll stick with the 18.0.1050.1 version until and IF the password fill in system gets fixed or reverted.
I don't know what Google did to it, but what good are passwords in a list in the settings that I can't use?
If they aren't fix or reverted to usability, I've always got Firefox.

Thanks for the response mapx!
I don't have a Google account to re-sync.
I tried a new profile last night before switching back. Still no password fill in.
I even tried renaming the password file in a profile(Iron closed of course), and using the regular mode to 'save' passwords. It didn't do that either!

If it has gotten to the point that a new profile is required every time Google(chromium) makes one of these 'privacy' issues mess things up, it's time to back off and go with what works best for me.
I'm sure as hell not going to try to memorize 50 or 60 passwords, and keeping a list on the desktop in plain view is out of the question as well.

OK< did another new profile, and started it clean. I added a password that should have asked to be saved it didn't ask.
I don't know what I Am doing wrong, but for now I will stick with the last 18 release, and hope things take a turn for the better for me next time.

EDIT: I even tried a very clean install of Iron, instead of one that had been updated several times.

Another completely new profile. nothing imported. Went to Facebook and logged in. IT asked me if I wanted to save the password. I told it yes, and verified it was saved under the Tool.
Closed Iron19 down and restarted. Went to Facebook and did a login. No auto insert of password, and no insert with a 'tab' push either.
SO, 18 it is until it works for me again, or I just get tired of it and uninstall and use that other browser.

and you didnt change nothing else to your system, like firewall ?
If you have comodo, for example, you could try again closing the comodo one (only with windows firewall)

No, nothing in the system changed. I update a couple of Firefox alpha/beta's that I have been testing. But those and Iron were the only thing to change.
Trust me here, I am not a new user, and this is not the first time I've had problems with an Iron(chromium) install. Twice before I had to start all over with completely new profile(s) because Iron(chromium) would not recognize anything but the 'default' profile. The firewall is the one that comes with WinXP, and I have aVast! as my anti-virus. I'll check them again to make sure they are not 'blocking' something.

OK, worth a try. We'll see. And yes, it was enabled, I thought I had disabled it for Firefox.

Edit: it didn't work on an existing profile. I'll try another new one form scratch.

Installed 19 and let it open the 'default' profile. It put UID and passwords for 'some' (not all) sites that allow it, in regular mode.
However, in the incognito mode, using the 'default profile, it won't auto input the UID and passwords.
I'm still working on getting the damned profile back to where I want it to be.

But, 19 does not appear to be appreciable faster nor better than 18 (FOR ME), so I'm still thinking I'll stay with 18 for a while.
UNLESS SRWare can tell me WHY it is being a pain in the butt!
