If you go to the Ixquick site, you will see the link "Add to Chrome."
It is very simple to add the engine from there.

Next, you will go to the options and "Manage Search Engines," under Basics, it is a no-nonsense process.

"It's a no-nonsense process" says megaman

However, it is not. The main issue is that SRWare Iron developers are bartering with the devil, and sold their souls to Google, Yahoo, and Bing. It doesn't matter how many times one sets Ixquick or Startpage as a search engine, to keep one's anonymity, SRWare Iron is now programmed to reverse back to those who are paying them to keep their search engines in order to get our IPs. It really defeats the purpose for the creation of SRWare Iron, if its developers give the keys to the thieves.

Not a good development for SRWare Iron. I am about to install version 23, without any hopes that we are out of the control of Google, Yahoo, and Bin.

The default search engine in Iron is DuckDuckGo

if it were DuckDuckGo, why is not in the list of search engines that you provide, next to infamous Google, Yahoo, and Bing? Are you telling me DuckDuck Go is the default search engine, but it has to be installed by the users? It doesn't make sense at all.

Google, Bing, and Yahoo! are default because of Chromium, that's where they get the source code from.
Your preset search does not stay when upgrading? I would have thought that it would have.

It was not included in early versions. It is included and default since August 2012.
