Thought I'd share the following as it concerns extensions.

Was putting SRWare Iron Portable on my usb key, installed Disconnect extension, was working fine. Decided to install Scriptno and KillEvil, neither worked, uninstalled the two of them, but then Disconnect wouldn't work. Tried re-installing it, no luck

I didn't mess around with any Iron settings, it clearly happened when I installed Scriptno and KillEvil, for whatever reason.

In my experience Scriptno has some bugs running in Iron. It used to crash Iron regularly for me & when it didn't crash, it didn't work properly. I can get it to work with this build ~ 16.0.950.0 (Developer Build 115000 Windows) but there is some lagging with the 'script number' on the icon. It will often claim that there are multiple scripts running on the speed dial! I think this is probably just a lag from a previous page. Ghostery had a similar habit on Firefox at one time. I think that the Scriptno developer is concentrating on getting Scriptno compatible with other Chrome extensions before coding it specifically for Iron.

I think that Scriptno could be very successful eventually.

Scrub what I said about ScriptNo earlier. I just got rid of a couple of extensons I wasn't using & it works fine. It works well on the Iron Portable (Zip) as well.

"Ads by Binlayer"

Post by occam54 »

I am running the latest English version of SRWare on Windows 7 (SP1).

Recently I noticed that I get an ad pop-up just after I fire-up the browser. Although there are no adverts in the window, it is obviously a pop-up designed to host intrusive adverts. The window is marked "Ads by Binlayer".

I want to know if there is any way I can block this.

I already have the add-ons 'FlasBlock' (0.9.31) and Adblock' (v 2.5.16) but they do not appear to do the trick. Additionally, under 'Options' > 'Pop-up' I have the 'do not allow any site to show pop ups^' checked.

Is there something else I can do to stop this initial pop-up ad layer from showing up?

Thanks for any pointers

Please remember:
"The extension "Visit webpage" link is still pointing to the wrong and old url (http://www.chrome-plugins.info/), the right one is chrome.google.com/webstore/"

Many thanks

Will the Password Manager functionality be restored in incognito mode with this update?
I'm still stuck with version 15.0.900.2 because of this.

Thanks! :ironvschrome
