It may be the same problem I'm having (see earlier message)
Go to Google extension site, attempt to install, but Iron tries to download the installation program, not run it from Chrome site.. So you click the confirmation to allow it to download (like the portable version), then the site stops it, and lets you know the program has to be installed from the site. However it doesn't do this for the new portable version, it allows the extension installation file to be downloaded.

Are you using the Privacy.ini feature? if so, disable it to install extensions.

UPDATE:
Version 15.0.900.1 fixes a Bug, that can arise at installing Apps. Additionally this version allows the installation of extensions from random sources by default (http://forrst.com/posts/Workaround_to_h ... for_di-1sQ).

@justme - the link in the first post works. the one just above your past was parsed wrong.

SRWare<<<< Why the LAVENDAR scroll bar(s) in the 15.0 x versions in the incognito mode? Incognito is readily identified as it is, or do the chromium devs need something to do to waste time on things like that, instead of fixing or making things better.
