Useragent switcher

Post by semu10 »

Hi!Please add this functionality to Iron. This addon don't want to install in the Iron.

This version uses new APIs to modify HTTP headers, so it should be far more effective :ironvschrome

User-Agent Switcher for Chrome - Version: 1.0.3
I have this installed and it works fine in Iron latest for windows. I will say that it was installed in an earlier version of Iron.
There is an experimental version called spoofer.crx here>> http://spoofer-extension.appspot.com/ under the "10/8/2011 - New, experimental version available!" banner. Download link is hard not very easy to see, so look closely.
OK, I don't let them install from the web. I right click and 'Save Link As' and install it from my machine.

Having said all of that, have you given consideration to UA.ini? It is a file that you can set up, and add your own browser(s) you want spoofed, instead of somebody else's idea of what you should have. Just a thought.

I forgot to tell you that you can change the 'minimum' chrome version required in a downloaded file. Just open it with an unzipper, and edit the Manifest.json file to an earlier version. If that doesn't work, you can always D/L an earlier version from the link I posted.

OOPS! I tried to change the minimum Chrome, and the crx file won't let me. When(IF) I find a way, I will let you know.

Here is a link for version 1.0.3 if you want it. D/L and drag it into an Iron window.

Thanks, but I am looking for a new version , because it is has comfortable way to modify HTTP headers too, and not just a user-agent . Most of the sites don't look anymore only for user-agent. Thanks. I want to install a new version. Thanks.
