For an unknown reason Ubuntu detects the Iron 14 binary as libary instead correctly as executeable.
But you can run it via shell or startscript or you can install the debs.
That is strange. But I just tried the deb, and it is working - thank you!

Hi,

First, my apologies for my first post concerning Iron 14 and browserscope tests.
Seems that something is wrong with the "Strict Transport Secutity" test on this site ...

Here's my problem :
Installing Iron64.deb on Linux Mint 64.
Then "Preferences" and "Bookmarks" Tabs are empty !
(No pb with Iron32.deb on Mint 32)

Thanks to fix it

En ubuntu 11.04 esta versión no ejecuta, parece que tiene algún problema pues ni siquiera intenta iniciar.

¿Intentó con la versión .tar.gz o con la versión .deb?

There is no longer the option to "save image" when clicking on an image inside the page elements' inspector tool :/ The only options left are open image in new tab, and copy image URL.
That option used to be a very handy although somewhat inconveniently placed tool for saving images from various web sites.

Acording to http://v8.googlecode.com/svn/data/bench ... 6/run.html Iron13: 5763 and Iron14: 5631
It seems Iron 13 performs better than Iron 14
I also tried http://peacekeeper.futuremark.com/results?key=4J7p and still getting the same results, Iron 13 performs better too! Iron13: 1688 Iron14: 1668
I hope the security improvements are decisively worth the upgrade because I see no other reason to dump Iron 13!!

Greetings,
I tried to install the .deb 14 version on a Dell Mini 1012 running Mepis11_32 using GDebi and got:

ERROR: Wrong architecture 'i386'

I previously was able to install 13 on the same machine

Thanks for reading this - any ideas are welcome

Enjoy

If you have a 64bit System, you should use this version.

I know there were a topic about this problem already, but I still cannot make it.

The Iron doesn't want to set as default browser.

I've already set Iron x-www-browser using terminal, but it didn't change anything.

In system options Iron is not on the list to choose. Also while choosing default application to open .html file there's no Iron on the list.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10.

Please help!
