I use portable version.
How can I do make Iron as default browser WITH settings in IronPortable.ini.
If I set Iron as default browser - I have: Iron opens page WITHOUT IronPortable.ini settings (f.ex. Iron ignorires --incognito option in IronPortable.ini)

Portable version creates folder (Win XP SP3):
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium
every time as I open it

You're using the PortableApps version of Iron, right?

Unfortunately, there is no officially supported way to make any PortableApps browser your default browser. The PortableApps structure relies on IronPortable.exe to handle cleaning up after Iron. Setting Iron as the default browser will cause Iron itself, not the launcher, to be run; this totally breaks portability. It looks like you've already observed this with the Chromium folder in %APPDATA%. (btw, that's also why anything in IronPortable.ini is ignored after setting Iron as the default browser - IronPortable.exe processes that file, so when only Iron is running that file is totally ignored. Iron itself doesn't know what to do with it.)

Unofficially, you may be able to do what you want with DefaultBrowser or a similar tool. Just make sure you set IronPortable.exe, not Iron.exe, as your browser.

No, I use native IronPortable.zip from this site.

Thanks. I can try its way.

Now, I use IronPortable as not-default-browser. But I see: Iron creates 'Chromium folder' every time as I work in Iron.
I think That Iron-code isn't clear (Iron has Chronium's debris)

Yes, but will Iron # 11.0.700.0 (8300) have the Java blocker that Chrome # 11.0.696.60 has?
