Scream81 provides adblock-update.vbs very simple usable as a program.

Don't know how to simplify the slide-extension. This extension provides 3 independent functions:
(1) F9 or its gesture for hor. sliding. Left doubleclick anywhere on free space of a website can sometimes (2) remove residual ads and animated graphics and (3) shows forgotten links.
Only that activates it for a short action. So it doesn't reduce the browser speed. Other keys could do the same, also instead of doubleclick.
Implementing there adblock.ini-updating would be senseless, because it needs restart of Iron and the adblock.ini file can be on different places.
Freeware gmote gestures work with other applications too. If you don't like typing special keys, you can invent gestures therefore.

By the way: even very old adblock.ini's do a good work, so its perhaps not so urgent updating them permanently.
It might be provided here during new Iron versions.

1. adblcok_update.vbs is great blocks almost anything. Do I need Adblock ext. & adblock2 desktop icon & List.txt file?

2. Hope & wish the next version has this integrated.

3. What exactly do you imply by slide-extensions?

4.

Not a clue what this means......apologize for that........old man new to the world of computers & softwares.

4. Who says SRWARE is a hogger.......at the moment I have 4 tabs opened, 2 IMs running.......CPU usage is 4-7%, Commit Charge 498 MB.......it;s the best, most versatile browser......just needs a bit of refinement in the next version........my thoughts.

Thanks again & Best regards!

CsCI, forget the slide-extension, you don't need it.
Just use adblock-update.vbs if you even need it.
And pls stay on earth for at least the next 100 years.
Then you'll see a web far beyond any science fiction phantasies.

My mother died few month ago on noro virus, could still live.
She was infected visiting a rest-home as guest, meeting old friends.
So best avoid contacts to old people - they are virus catapults with weaked immune systems.
No public transport vehicles, no public toilets.
Keep away from old people.
This I've learned from my mother.
Nobody in the neighboorhood hat noro virus.
She had best health.

Wishing you Iron for the next 100 years :P

1. adblock-update.vbs ..........simply Excellent.

2. "C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\iron.exe" --incognito ..........the same.

Keep it up SRWare Iron Developers......the most versatile browser.

You have Bild.me image hosting on your bookmark bar, and yet you post images through Photobucket. Trust me, Bild.me is better!

I have the same problem that CsCl had in the first page in this topic.

I copied this script that Ironuser gave me and pasted it to notepad and saved it to the desktop as adblock.js :

http = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
fso = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject");
http.open("GET", "https://secure.fanboy.co.nz/opera/urlfilter.ini", false);
http.setRequestHeader("Accept","text/html");
http.send();
f=fso.CreateTextFile("C:/Program Files/SRWare Iron/adblock.ini", true);
f.Write((http.responseText.replace(/\*/g,"")).replace(/#/g,"# "));
f.Close();

But when i double klick it the following error text comes :

Source: Microsoft Jscript runtime error
Error: input past end of file

I didnt remember the whole text but hopefully you guys understood what i meant.
