ccleaner picking up chrome history from iron

I have been experimenting with the chrome's adblocker, which i found out is connected to chromes tracking guts. So i used fanboys list, instead of chromes easylist or adblock file. I visited a few pages, and ccleaner found a LOT of files in chrome, which should NOT be installed on my machine if Iron was truly independent of chromes tracking guts.
i verified this by deleting iron and all it's folders and files, downloaded firefox, beta 5, and visted a few pages, ran ccleaner, no sign of chrome. So i redownloaded iron again, and didn't install any addons, nothing...visited a few websites, and ran ccleaner, and there was chrome again...lots of files. Why is chrome showing up at all if Iron is truly independent of chrome and it's spyware? I really love Iron, and it's simplicity and speed, but i am wary of this new discovery. If anybody can verify that these "chrome" files are truly independent of chromes spyware, i would appreciate it. Meanwhile, i will be using firefox. But i would really love it if sware can positively, w/o a doubt state that is Iron is truly independent of chrome I will switch back it it in a hearbeat.
Is it just that some Iron files are required to be "classified" as chrome, to assimilate it's software, and is not tied in with it? I noticed that the chrome adblocker has not been available as an Iron add-on, because it's directly tied in with chrome tracking guts, therefore negating Iron's independence of chromes spyware.
