SRWare Iron + block content

Post by jukkis88 »

Is there fast way block content? Like if I visit site www.example.com and there is ad what I want block. How can I do it fast? I can't see that ad's address, so how can I block it and fast? So, I dosen't have to restart browser and add it manually adblock.ini file. Is this possible?

Use the chrome extension - "adblock plus". Works very well.

That doesn't actually block the content; there is no way to keep content from loading except to copy the URL and enter it, or a portion thereof, into adblock.ini after shutting down the browser.

Adblock + works better than the builtin blocker for me and much better the the original adblock! See for yourself - http://www.chromeextensions.org/appeara ... g/adblock/

the built-in blocker actually keeps content from loading

this, and all "AdBlock" extensions for Chrome, merely hides content, Chrome extensions don't have the kind of power that allows Adblock Plus for Firefox to work

I understand that but what you have to understand is that it doesn't work too well yet and pages load much better, much faster with adblock plus because the ads aren't showing ;) With the bulit-in adblock.ini, the ads show!

You need to add entries to adblock.ini manually

for a good shortcut replace the original adblock.ini with this: http://fanboy.co.nz/adblock/iron/complete/adblock.ini
