Well, I would say that the current Dev version has 2 major things useful:
1. Enable extensions in Incognito - finally users can have Mouse Gestures in Incognito in Iron
2. Pin tab is back

But Dev versions are buggy...

5.0.326 is very stable, and very fast! But when opening new incognito window, error message appears and I can not surf any websites. Normal mode is ok.

When that happened to me, I had to make a new profile. Somehow, something in the default profile got fubar'd!

You just dont have to change browser ;) Wot for Iron is working well. :!: ;)
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/de ... ndpbikblnp

WOT is available for all other major browsers as well (Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera, Chrome)
.... WOT (IE add-on installer) --- http://www.mywot.com/en/download/ie --- 3.3.2010
.... WOT.crx extension (Chrome, Iron) --- https://chrome.google.com/extensions/de ... ndpbikblnp --- 15.2.2010
.... WOT.xpi extension (Firefox, SeaMonkey, Flock) --- http://www.mywot.com/en/download/ff --- 28.10.2009
.... WOT.js (user javascript, Opera) --- http://files.myopera.com/PH%60/UserJs/wot.js --- 9.3.2010
.... WOT bookmarklets (Safari, Opera) --- http://www.mywot.com/en/blog/wot-bookma ... -and-opera

But Iron is simply the best option :ironvsff
I hadn't seen your answer. Thanks very much.

Hello

(Extension WOT)

I believed in Iron I was authorized only to install the extensions mentioned here

http://www.chrome-plugins.info/en/

and not here as in Chrome (as you say for WOT) :

https://chrome.google.com/extensions?hl=fr

As it seems it's authorized, I installed my other extensions I have in Chrome and that are not mentioned in Iron : tabs on the front, send from Gmail (not Adthwart because Iron has a specific bluit-in adblock)

I hope it is not a mistake.

Another linked problem : In chrome, extensions update is automatic. Is it in Iron or it is necessary doing it manually and how ? For the extensions that are suggested in Iron and the others...

Thanks and good night !

1)
Read this
http://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=886 (all of these can be used in Iron)
http://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=961 (all of these can be used in Iron)

2)
Quick links (the largest databases)
***
Themes
https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en ... nload.html (all of these can be used in Iron)

Extensions
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/ (all of these can be used in Iron)
***

3)
Please note, http://www.chrome-plugins.info/en/, that is official support by SRWare,
but you can install ... crx files .... (extensions compatible with SRWare Iron, Chromium, Google Chrome) .... from anywhere in the internet (like my list o sites here http://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=961)

4)
Add 1),2),3)

= YES. .... WOT for Iron doesnt exist (officially) .... , but exist .... WOT crx file .... you can download and install to Iron

Same situation with many others (thousand of extensions available for Google Chrome) + Greasemonkey scripts (moreover than 20 000 another ones)

Thanks a lot for this detailed answer !

A little complicated... Wouldn't it more easy all the compatible extensions were in the list given by Iron ?

http://www.chrome-plugins.info/en/

Mine work, in any case... The only I didn't find in yout links is "tabs on the front". But there are many links...

A last question : extensions updates (automatic in Chrome). Is it too in Iron ? Or is it manual and what is the recommended method ? Verify the versions from time to time ?

Thks once more !

I've already seen some of my extensions auto-update, so the answer is yes.

The file that stops making the incognito window from showing "Aw snap!" is the Preferences file located in the folder C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\Default ("Default" unless you have another profile name). This directory address was taken on a Windows 7 computer which differ slightly on WinXP but remain the same for Vista users.

Close SRWare and delete the file, relaunch and it should be fixed. :)
