This is a bug that i also had personally yesterday. After clearing of cache and force to quit the app with the Android Task Manager it worked well - on one device. But on another it failed. Seems to be a bug on Googles side.

Tried your tasks .... still, no home button and says 'Please update your sign-in details." Thank you for the reply. Hopefully 'whoever' will get it resolved.

You can enable the home button in Android > 4.3

Sync does not work. Of course I changed grant permission.
I installed the latest one via google play, but it showed 55.0.2883.91.
Is New Iron-Version of Android 55.0.2900.0 ?
How can I update ??

which error do you get? do you use a passphrase?

Setting of Iron, red arrows caution at sync tab, and asking me to update login account.
"Sync is not functioning, login again to start sync."
I tapped its tab, I entered the pw and 2 step authorization code, but sync does not go.
Just same phrase "Sync is not functioning, login again to start sync."
How fix it?? I need to logout google account ?

same results on my note 4 and tab s devices...

it was working a few weeks ago, but now nothing...i have spend 2-3 hours on this...going in circles...any help?

I too have the same sync issue with the newest version on Google Play and this thread too. I have installed all the older versions as well and same sync issue. Its not a Google account issue as Google Chrome syncs just fine.
