Re: Flash auto updates break Flash until browser restart

I recommend managing your tabs with extensions like FreshStart (which makes use of the Bookmarks system) and The Great Suspender so that your session won't use so much RAM; also, you should be restarting at least once per month when Microsoft releases its Patch Tuesday updates. With that said, it's ...

Re: iron.exe vs chrome.exe

My best guess is that iron.exe is now a stub and SRWare has moved to naming the main process chrome.exe. I remember old versions of Opera doing something similar, shipping a stub called netscape.exe that just launched opera.exe, except of course that Opera was never known as Netscape and had always ...

Re: So tired of constant flash crashes

General rule of thumb.....If your version of Iron is working very well, DO NOT update until checking forums like this to make sure that all of the bugs have been taken care of on the newer versions. So basically you're saying that all of the new versions are always beta? No, he's saying that the ze...

Re: IRON FAILS IN NETFLIX - HOW TO FIX IT ?

OP, have you tried the new PPAPI installer for Flash 16? It's intended for browsers like Opera and Yandex browser that are Chromium derivatives but, unlike Chrome, do not come with PPAPI Flash installed and will stop supporting NPAPI plugins this year: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions...

Re: Flash not working

The problem is with the Chromium base itself, which removed NPAPI support on Linux starting with version 35: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2225277 Unfortunately, unlike on Windows, Adobe has not yet released an installer for the PPAPI version of Flash that it still maintains for Chrome on...

Re: Best "recent" version of Iron???

Try downloading the new PPAPI installer for Flash 16; it's intended for Opera, Yandex Browser, and other Chromium derivatives that don't have Flash bundled the way Chrome does, because this year Chromium will end support for NPAPI: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Re: Confusion regarding webkit and "chromium source"

The Chromium project is an open-source browser built on the Webkit engine (it also uses other projects not used by all Webkit-based browsers, like the V8 Javascript engine); nightly builds of Chromium are basically Chrome without the proprietary components (like the bundled Flash Player), and SRWare...

Re: Why no Adblock whitelist?

Soon there won't be much of a reason to use adblock.ini anymore: Iron 17 has the stable WebRequest API, which allows ABP for Chrome to block content just as well as ABP for Firefox. I don't even think I'll make any more updates to my massive adblock.ini file: https://code.google.com/p/jansal/wiki/Ad...
