Re: New Iron-Version: 26.0.1450.0 Stable for MacOS

Hello

Since upgrading to 26.0.1450.0, the browser crashes often. Thankfully, it's able to recover all the open pages, but it's still a PITA.

If it means anything, I also noticed the menus now have a white background instead of the normal grey background.

[Grrr] How to recover bookmark folder?

Hello

I removed a folder from the Bookmarks bar, thinking this would only remove it from the bar but not delete it entirely.

Now I lost ten's of sub-folders

Is there a way to recover the delete folder?

Thank you.

[Portable] Starting from a 100% clean state everytime?

Hello I just downloaded the portable version of Iron, and need to know how to start from a totally clean state every time I launch it again. I see a bunch of files in .\Profile: What files should I remove/replace before launching Iron again so that the remote site thinks this is the first time I'm c...

Re: [21.0.1200.0b151001] Still reverts to google.com!

Thanks for the tip. Using "http://www.google.fr/search?name=f&hl=en&q=%s" instead of the original does the trick: Iron now uses google.fr when I type search items in the URL bar, even without closing and restarting it. However, the results are still not localized: Does it mean that Iron is hard-code...

[21.0.1200.0b151001] Still reverts to google.com!

Hello In the hope that Google would return localized data when I need it to (no sense in being told about burger joints in DC when you live in Berlin), I wanted to change Iron's default search engine from "google.com" to "google.fr"*. Here's what I did: Through "[wrench icon] > Settings > Search > M...

Re: [Win/2.0.178.0] Disable spell check?

Thanks for the tip, but here's a screenshot of what I have (I do prefer to use US versions of applications, so that I can just copy/paste error messages in case I'm stuck): srware.iron.search.engine.jpg However, after hitting "OK" and restarting Iron, I'm back to using "google.com" as the default se...

Re: [Win/2.0.178.0] Disable spell check?

Thanks for the help. I don't want Iron to display its menus in French (I always install software in English so I'm more likely to find help by posting error messages in the de facto international language): I simply 1) wanted to disable spell-checking for all languages and 2) was wondering why the o...

Re: [Win/2.0.178.0] Import passwords from Chrome?

Looks like I found it: Iron's data are actually saved here:

C:\Documents and Settings\Fred\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium\

I just replaced everything in .\User Data\Default with the data available in the portable version's Default\folder, and started the installer version.

Re: [Win/2.0.178.0] Import passwords from Chrome?

Thanks for the help. I have another question: Before dumping Chrome, I wanted to check that everything I need works in Iron, so downloaded and used the portable version. Now, I installed the regular Iron (with an installer), and would like to copy the Profile folder of the portable version so that I...
