ActivateSyncPortable.exe never worked for me either. I put it in the same folder with IronPortable.exe, click it and nothing happens.

Both (32+64 bit) portable/ zip files still link to 45.0.2400.0

Going to bump this because it needs an answer. I just updated from 27 to 41. That was a huge, horrible mistake that has had me crying from frustration.
