Managed to fix it by creating a launcher (desktop file) in Ubuntu.

So I downloaded and extracted the iron64 folder. To start Iron, i've been going into the folder via the terminal and running the following command: ./iron I want to create a short cut on my desktop which I can simply double click and launch Iron.
