07.01.2010: New Iron-Release:
4.0.280 Beta for Windows Stable
Iron 4.0.280 Stable is now ready for download! Known bugs were fixed and the stability was further improved.
We also extended the preview thumbnails on the "New Tab"-page from 8 to 12.
Imprevements since version 3:

- improved performance

07.01.2010: New Iron-Release:
4.0.275 Beta for Mac & RSS-News
After a long time we can now offer you an Iron-Version for MacOS.
Like in the Windows- and Linux Version you can use Extensions
and Themes.

01.01.2010: New Iron-Release:
4.0.275 Beta for Linux
You can now get Iron 4.0.275 for Linux, too. The changes
are the same than in the windows version, you get a stable
extension system, bookmark synchronisation and improved
performance.
But for the first time you can download a 64-Bit Build of Iron for Linux!

30.12.2009: New Iron-Release: 4.0.275
Release Candidate
Iron 4.0.275 is now ready for download. This version
should be much better in performance and stability than the 3.x
builds and will be the last milestone on the way to 4.0 Final.
Improvements:

07.11.2009: New Iron-Release:
4.0.227 Beta and 4.0.227 Beta for Linux
Based on Chromium 4.0 we
released a new Iron-Version. New is a speed gain up to 30% and
support for Bookmark-Synchronisation. Additionally the
Extension-System was improved, there is now a user-friendly
control interface and you become warnings for potential harmful
plugins. Also the Windows 7 support is better in this versions:
Aero Peek doesn't work yet, but the integration in the new
start menu is already done. More infos

10.08.2009: New Release
of Iron for Linux: 3.0.179
The download now contains Iron for Linux 3.0.197 and introduces some improvements like a nearly complete options-dialog and flash-support.
To enable flash you have to start iron for linux with --enable-plugins as parameter (can cause instability). More infos are available in our

09.08.2009: New Iron-Release:
3.0.179.0
Based on Chromium 3 you can download a new stable version of Iron. There are many new features like Theme-Support, a new flexbible "New Tab"-Page and a working and stable extension system.
We also added a User-Agend Switcher to Iron, so you can change it without having trouble with parameters. To use another browserstring just create a textfile called "UA.ini" in the Iron-Directory and put your userstring in the first line. After restarting Iron your customized string is used!

17.06.2009: New Iron-Release:
3.0.189.0 Beta and 3.0.189 Alpha for Linux
After Google released a preview of Chrome 3, you can
surely download an Iron-Version based on Chromium 3.0, too.
Because the development is currently in an early state, we
offer this version as beta parallel to the stable 2.0. There
is also a new version of Iron for Linux, which e.g.
now can delete private data and import bookmarks. More infos

26.05.2009: Preview-Release
of Iron for Linux
Today we released a first version
of Iron for Linux. In contrast to the Windows-version
this version is not complete and more difficult to install.

17.05.2009: New Iron-Release:
2.0.178.0
You can now download a new Iron Release based on
Chromium 2.0.178.0.
Fixed are a lot of Bugs - e.g. at Incognito Modus, at the
Downloadmanager and at lot of other things. Also speed and
stability are significant better. We also updated the
Adblocker.
12.03.2009: New Iron-Release: 2.0.168.0
Today we release a new Iron based on Chromium 2.0.168.0.
There were updates to Webkit and the Javascript Engine V8,
so the new Iron version should be significant faster.
Additionally we improved the the adblocker.
14.12.2008: New Iron-Release: 1.0.155.0
After Chrome 1.0 is released, you can surely download a
new Iron, too. We have also updated the adbock.ini is,which
you can get
here.
Further we have improved the Portable Version, it now accepts parameters such as
-- incognito, to start Iron immediately to the "anonymous mode".
30.11.2008: New Iron-Release: 0.4.155.0
In response to the recent Chromium release 0.4.155 we have
of course updated Iron, too. In addition to the known updates
like the integration of a bookmark manager, the new Iron
version also significantly increases the speed.
In addition, Iron got a new look: A new product icon and logo and the
possibility to use themes, which were originally created for Chrome. These can be
downloaded e.g. from www.chrome-themes.blogspot.com. In
future, we plan on demand of multiple user requests a function
to delete private data automatically on exit, if this should
be integrated from the "official" Chroimium team shortly.
01.11.2008: New Iron-Release: 0.3.155.0
The new version is based on Chromium 0.3.155.0 and you
can get instantly in the download section.
11.10.2008: Adblocker integrated in Iron
The wish of many users comes true: We integrated an
Adblocker in Iron!
With a filterlist so nearly all online-advertising can be
blocked. A working list can bedownloaded
here and just has to be copied to the Iron folder (e.g:
C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\). Note: You must first get the
latest version of Iron you can find under "Downloads".
So Iron is the first Chromium based webbrowser worldwide
which has an adblocker included.
03.10.2008: New Iron Translations: Italian, Polish and
Hungarian
Today we included these three new languages additional to
German and English in Iron,
they are available in the setup and in the portable version.
01.10.2008: "Official" Iron Portable
In the Download-Section you can now find a portable
Iron-package officially created by SRWare.
It can run e.g. on an USB-Stick without admin-rights.
26.09.2008: English page online
We can now provide an enlish page for our customers outside
of Germany.
18.09.2008: First Iron Release
Today we launched the first Iron-Version based on Chromium 0.2.152.0
